30 September 2000 - Olympic Regatta

Despite recording his worst result of the series Iain Percy today won the Olympic Finn Gold Medal with a race to spare. Leading the fleet from the start of the series Iain ensured his only glod rival from Sweden came down the fleet too to become Britains 3rd Olympic Gold sailor at Sydney.

29 September 2000 - Olympic Regatta

Leading from the first day Iain Percy goes into the final day of the Olympic Regatta tomorrow with a commanding lead in the Finn fleet. With 2 races to go it is not yet certain that Iain will win the gold medal, but he is assured of a silver at least.
With a 6th and a 1st in todays races 8 and 9 Iain is only challenged by the Swedish sailor, and will have to have a terrible day tomorrow to loose the gold.

April 2000

Iain Percy is selected for Team GBR at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney after dominating the British trials.
Iain will be one of the hot favourites in the Finn class at Sydney. During the last year he has achieved some of the best results ever by a British sailor in this the most physical of Olympic classes. Expect a medal in this class for Iain, maybe even the gold.
