Very experienced dinghy crew/helm available - 16.4.2002
25 years old, 11 stone and very experienced, based in London (hence why I can't
afford my boat). I am very keen to get back into some serious dinghy racing, old
results as a helm include Mirror UK Youth and Junior champion, top 3 Mirror
inland nationals (many mirror results), Welsh Youth Squad and team captain of a
successful university team racing team. I am experienced in a number of classes
including Laser 2, Lark, 420, GP 14, Enterprise, Fireball etc. etc.
Since graduating a couple of years ago a lack of funds has kept me out of the
sport. I am looking to join a competitive fleet and compete on the open circuit
(areas, nationals etc.) with a helm who is competing somewhere towards the
front.<
Are you a competitive helm (or even a crew with a boat) without a crew for the
approaching season? Give me a call.
I can be contacted on 07971 448 602 or via
[email protected]
Cheers

LOOKING FOR BIG BOAT EXPERIENCE? 12.2.2002
I run a Bavaria 47 for skippered charter in the Mediterranean and am looking for
crew for a fourteen day adventure from Menorca to Cephalonia in May, and the
return trip late June/early July.
Two Yachtmasters or suitable watch leaders would be half price, any other level
of experience as per the special offer on my web site
www.medsailing.co.uk . If the above doesn't appeal, a weeks charter is
cheaper than you might think.
Jan Churchill. Skipper, Dolcetto.

CREW AVAILIBLE; Hayling Island and Gap Year 21.10.2001
I have spent most of my life around boats and am an experienced crew for dinghy
racing at club level. I am interested in finding a dinghy (with trapeze) to crew
for in Hayling area, with a mind to working towards events such as next years
Federation Week.
My experience in larger boats is limited but I have acheived my Day Skipper
(shorebased) and yacht racing is something I'd definitely like to have a go at.
I've always wanted to take part in Cowes week.
Lastly I am currently attempting to organise some form of marine related gap
year (starting September 2002) so any infornmation on getting into this area
would be very much appreciated. Perhaps stewardessing on charter yachts would be
a possibility.
Although I don't proffess to be an expert, I am a fast learner and don't mind
being shouted at. I weigh 8-9 stone depending on the time of year.

"Top Dinghy Crew available in RS200s RS400s or anything else!"
15.10.2001
"I'm 18 years old, 62kg and have a lot of crewing experience, very competitive
in the GP14 fleet, coming 15th at this years national Championship, also coming
2nd in the London and SE Travellers two years running.
Done the Southport 24 hour race 3 times, gaining 11th in our team this year.
Also have got experience in Larks and Enterprises amongst others.
Now I'm looking to move into the RS fleet, or anything else highly competitive.
Live in near Winchester in Hampshire, so can travel around to many good sailing
regions, I would like to compete in next years Nationals and other big events.
Not done a lot of trapeze work but willing to learn over the winter season,
ready for the competitions next year. Excellent spinnaker handling, both
asymmatric and symmetric. "

Laser 3000 Exmouth seeks crew. 8.8.2001
I have a Laser 3000 based in Exmouth Devon, and often lack crew to go out for a
casual sail.
As I am 12 stone, and the boat doesn't like heavy loads, a crew 8st. - 11st.
max. would be best. You will need your own wetsuit/boots, but I can provide
buoyancy aid/trapeze harness.
Some experience useful, but not critical in trapezing/gennaker operation- I have
taught many people over 20 years. You will need to be fairly agile, as the 3000
will bite the slow moving. I am happy to mix and match the front/back end - I
enjoy being on the wire when I have confidence in the driver....
Locationally, be best if you are within an hour or so of Exmouth - decisions
tend to be short notice and weather based.
Possibility of going to open meetings next year, if suitable crew found this
year.
E mail me at
[email protected] or call 01395 266098.
